I knew Michael through his involvement with NCSD and the Honor Guard and was looking forward to seeing him at this year's Stand Down. Sadly, I learned today that he will not be there and will be greatly missed. My heart goes out to his grieving family.

Sadly, I didn't find out about his passing until early March.
Michael was not only the singer of the National Anthem at the 2012 North Coast Stand Down (NCSD), but performed a set of Patriotic and Military Anthems as well (we have video footage), and aided with the Entertainment Coordination.
He also performed twice at the 2011 NCSD.
He had also joined the Entertainment Coordination Team for the 2013 NCSD.
On a personal note, he wanted us to perform together in the future upon stability in his life and completion of his College school year.
He was always friendly, always pushed himself forward, always helpul and inspiring.
I will miss you, my friend, and all of us from the NCSD will miss you.
Prayers for his family, extended family, and friends.

My dear brother Michael,
I cannot wait to see you again when I get to heaven. You were always in my heart and thoughts. I know you are at peace and having a wonderful time with Mom. I love you.
Your big sister,

I always had a warm spot in my heart for Michael. The world is a poorer place without him.

This is for Michael, one of the most flamboyant people I know. You are loved by many. You always stood out from the crowd, and you knew every answer on Jeopardy, we had many great moments together and I will miss you forever. I loved you and I wish you knew how much. You inspire me to be the best person I can be and never worry about who is looking.. RIP

I can honestly say my husband and I are very proud and honored to have known Michael as a friend. Michael walked up to us and said " You two just look like you need a great love song" and proceeded to play his guitar and serenaded us. Still makes me smile and laugh We will never forget him.
