Michael Robert Smedile

Michael Robert Smedile (Mikey) Mikey was a jovial soul born in Neptune, NJ on September 25, 1985 and he left us far too early on his 27th birthday. Survived by his immediate family, stepfather and mother, Robert and Jeanne Crouch, father Mark Smedile, and siblings Will Sandusky and Lyndsay Smedile. He will be missed by his grandparents John D.D. Sandusky, Frank Smedile, Marlene Smedile, and Maryann Sandusky who preceded his death in 1999. He's remembered and missed by aunts, uncles, and families of John and Paula Sandusky, Scott Smedile, Jill Brewster, Maryann and Roz Castro, Joe Sandusky, and Dennis and Kathi Sandusky. Mike had many cousins, nieces and nephew, all who's lives he touched and will miss him dearly. With dimples for days, Mikey radiated an energy that would captivate anyone in his presence. He grew up a happy boy who was dedicated to his family. Michael was a talented athlete, bright student, and playful companion gaining many loyal friends in his years all of whom loved him like family. He was born in New Jersey, but travelled with his family around the country. He spent his early years in Port St. Lucie, FL, Miranda, CA and back east in Stony Point, New York and Garwood, New Jersey. After achieving a degree in Auto Mechanics at Lincoln Tech in NJ, he eventually settled back in Eureka, CA. Quickly and passionately achieving mastery of his craft, Mikey was always generous to lend a hand to anyone. A private celebration of Michael's life was conducted this past Tue. October 2nd on Moonstone beach. Next time you feel that sudden breeze or experience a bout of uncontrollable laughter think of Michael. Remember his bear hugs, his one of a kind character, his enthusiasm for children and animals, his loyal love to all he cared for and most of all his ability to make anyone smile.
