Aloha - I was a PE major at Pacific University. From 1979 to 1982. Coach was my teacher. He was good man. He treated everyone fairly and with respect. He thought us about life. He taught us about how body motion was a science. We knew he cared.
Iin fact, I used his quote today ias part of my work transforming government in Hawaii.
"People learn by doing." Let them do and they will learn.
He also said if you want to get something done go to the top.
He shared many simple life lessons with us. I was proud to know him and to call him coach., Our nickname for him was Hoops. We knew hie was a basketball great at OSU but he never talked about it. That was Coach - humbly, honest, smiple and a gentle man. He made a difference and help us be better than we thought we could.
Mahalo for sharing him with us. His life lessons live on today.
God bless.
With my recpect and aloha

Our deepest sympathy to Bobs family. Bob and I were great friends. We played ball together, went to Friday night movies. I will always remember the great times, watching him play at OSU. Fond memories, Jere and Edwina Buck

Johnnie & Mary have known Bob for many many years, from the 1950's when he was such a great athlete. We remember Bob getting so many points in a game, that we yelled in the stands, "Allord Beat Eureka". There will never be another Athlete such as he was.
