William Amis Obituary

William Jesse Amis

William Jesse Amis was born October 3, 1947, in Paducah, Kentucky, and died on November 6, 2006, in Eureka, California, surrounded by his family.

Bill was a brave man. He was proud of his service to his country as a Marine during the Vietnam War. He served two tours from 1964-1965 and 1966-1967. He was proud of his family. He was loved very much and will be missed by his daughters, Rhonda Kathryn Amis and Jessica Howard; his favorite son-in-law, Andrew Howard, who he was always glad got to see him; his grandchildren, Ryan and Corey Lee, Brandon and Sean Amis, Kyle and Tara Kun, AJ and Seth Howard; his life long love and wife, Rhonda Kay Amis; his father, Glenn Amis; and his friends, Randy and Lynn Schull. He was preceded in death by his mother, Charlotte and sister, Glenda; may they all be joined on the other side together in a joyful reunion.
