Met him in the late 70s. I worked for Simpson and helped him cruise timber during 78 Park take. Great guy and woodsman. Stayed in contact until he moved to Sacramento.

Our condolences to the family. Went to College of the Redwoods with Bill. When I first met Bill he had his dog (Dodger) with him. Had many great times with Bill over the years. Bill and Jeanne joined a group of us including Bills brother Mike and his wife Cindy in Gold Beach. Oregon in August 2023 for a get together and spent the day on the Rogue River with Jerry's jetboats. He will truly be missed. Rest in peace my friend.
