My condolences to Antoinette, Freddy and Clem. Many memories of time spent both in Antoinette's home and in the restaurant where Antoinette and Kathy Crowley and I would sometimes help make the pizzas - what a thrill that was - and boy that pizza was great and I know still is. I remember John as a very kind man who was well known and well-liked by everyone in Newton Upper Falls. My heartfelt sympathy to his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren for your loss.

I met John and Marie when I was 12 years old and we moved back to Newton Upper Falls. They lived just down the street and Antoinette was my best friend. I spent lots of time making pizza boxes with my friend and helping her peel potatoes in the basement of what now is the Echo Bridge Restaurant. He got mad when I kept her out too late, but he loved me like a daughter. Her family has always been my second family. I am so sad that this great man has left us. His smile lit up our lives, and the example of hard work and love has left its mark on me and everyone he touched. God bless you, John, and thank you for everything. God bless his family, and especially his beautiful wife. May God comfort your broken hearts, and bring you peace that Giovanni is now walking with Him in Heaven and watching over us all.
