John Coffrin Obituary
John joined the Navy after graduating high school and was a veteran of World War II. Upon his return he attended Champlain Junior Business College in Burlington, Vermont.
He loved flying, with a special passion for stunt flying, and was a former private pilot.
John retired from the state of Vermont Transportation Department in 1989, where he was employed as a cartographer.
He leaves his wife, Cecelia "Cele" Dutile-Coffrin; stepsons Tim and Dan Dutile; daughters Susan Barnes, Sharon Durocher and Sarah Rue; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Cora Ruth Bertone, and a brother, George Coffrin.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, Oct. 24, 2014, at 2 p.m. at the Ricker Funeral Home in Lebanon, New Hampshire. Messages of condolence may be expressed with the family through an online guest book by visiting www.rickerfuneralhome.com.

My thoughts are with family and friends who knew and loved my Uncle John.
He wrote in a letter to me: "I have heard the expression many times, 'I came into this earth with nothing and I will leave this earth with nothing.' I don't believe it. When you come into this earth, you have your entire life in front of you. When you leave this earth, you leave your children and their children. You live on with these children."

To the family of John Coffrin;
I'm sorry to hear of John's passing and offer my condolences. I worked with John a few years at DuBois & King in Randolph. I always found John to be upbeat, enjoyable to be around, and he was full of life. I've often thought of John as the years have passed by and was wondered where he was and how he was doing. Based on my knowledge of John, he had a full and rich life. That is how I will always remember him and I hope his family will also.

John was a superior member of our family and will truly be missed by his daughters and other close relatives and associates. Will think of him often when a plane flies over or game of cribbage is played. Our love goes out to the whole Coffrin family.
