I was one of Ed's caregivers after he got his blood clot in his leg
Ed didn't take kindly to having us there, however as much as he probably wouldn't want to admit it, I think he did enjoy us.
In the beginning I was his only night caregiver so needless to say he would get somewhat crumpy with me (grouchy and grumpy combined lol) Connie was always there to assist if needed.
One night Ed was particularly crumpy (probably because he was tired after all his daily activities Connie ensured he did on a regular basis) we were assisting him into bed and he was griping at us, which Connie did NOT approve of.
I was joking with him to lighten the situation and once he sat down ,Connie started singing "what makes that ant think he can move that rubber tree plant",( I think because we were watching Lavern and Shirly before bed) Ed started to laugh while we both kept singing the song. Then Connie and I jumped in bed with him and laughed.
Ed always had the best laugh!! I can still hear it in my head along with his smile. He could light up the room
I will always treasure my time I got to spend with all of them, Lucky and Winston too! They truely are amazing people.
Thank you Connie for letting me love your husband too!
