Mr. Daum made such an impact on me during high school, that I frequently visited him for advice even as an adult. He always had a way a making me look at things from a different angle, but taught me in the end how to search for the truth instead of just giving me the answer. In a time of turmoil he was my rock, with small words of encouragement. When I was in trouble he pushed me to work harder. I hope that I can inspire someone the way that he has inspired me. The world has truly lost a great man.

Gary was the kind of man who thought of others before himself. He will be missed here, but there is a special place in heaven for him and we will see him there.
