Sara Bolis Benham Obituary

Sara Marie Bolis Benham passed peacefully on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at her home in Longmont, Colorado surrounded by her husband and family, from a one-year illness from ovarian cancer. Sara was born to William Joseph and Betty Lou Bolis on August 14, 1960 in Englewood, CO. Raised in Littleton, CO she attended St. Mary's Catholic grade school, Goddard Junior High, and graduated from Littleton High School in 1978. She attended Arapahoe Community College and graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in Business Accounting in 1983. Sara met her soul-mate and husband of 16 years, Charles "Chuck" Benham in 1996 and married on October 19, 2002. Their passions together included their pets, hiking in the mountains, spending time with family and friends, cooking, and their many travels, especially to Japan. Sara is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Chuck of Longmont, CO; his parents, Charles and Marge Benham of Arvada, CO; William J. and Karen Bolis of Englewood, CO; Judith L. Bolis and William Manning of Golden, CO; Susan A. and Steve Konsella of Lakewood, CO; Chris and Tonya Benham of Brooklyn, NY; Mickey and Jim Drake of Evergreen, CO; and Cyndi Garcia of Lakewood, CO; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to "For the Benefit Of" (FBO) account in the name of Sara Benham to offset medical expenses at the Bank of the West, 700 5th Avenue Longmont, CO, 80501. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
