Jolene Shell Obituary

Miss Jolene Shell, 90, of Alicia, passed away on Aug. 9, 2025, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.

She was born on June 12, 1935, in Alicia, to John and Bernice Shell. Jolene was a lifetime resident of Lawrence County and maintained her home in Alicia until her passing. She graduated from Alicia Elementary and Walnut Ridge High schools. She served on the Alicia city council for many years. She stayed active in the community and served on the election board. Jolene enjoyed baking and loved attending gospel singings. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Jolene was preceded in death by her parents, John and Bernice. She is survived by many friends and loved ones.

A visitation is planned for Thursday, Aug. 14, from 10-11 a.m. at House-Gregg Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.

Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. in the chapel with Don House, Rob Combs and Lloyd Clark officiating. Burial will be in Stranger's Home Cemetery in Alicia under direction of House-Gregg Funeral Homes of Walnut Ridge and Lynn.
