Although it´s been nearly 2 years, we were talking about `Bubble´ like it was just yesterday. That is a true testament to a man´s character when his spirit and influence is still felt long after his passing.... Much love

It took me a minute to say good bye to my friend. So I am not saying goodbye but see you later. I met this man in the bookstore at VCU in 1972 and we instantly became friends. When I married the 1st time, I brought him to my family and he became closer to them than I could have ever imagined but that was ''Doc". He made it easy for you to love him. I pray for comfort for his family. I know God has him now. I will always love you my friend!

I just do not know; " Doc ", was my college roommate ( Meadow Street ), says it all, played College together, only road with him one time on his new big bike, He was a great Baptist Preacher, knew the word, had him at my church to preach many times,; respected all of my wives, when in droped by to visit me, and he put the ideal in me that I could be an Landscaper...and I am because of "Doc" , .. I say to his children, I loved your father, He was a great Man of God, hard worker, person of Humanity, and one hell of an College Football player and great tree man. All of us that knew Arron N. Mines, are missing him now, and wishing the family Peace.

To Bubba's wife, children and grand kids. I will miss you cuz. I will miss seeing you ride your motorcycle and truck up and down the road. You will be missed in Jerusalem's drama ministry for the many roles you played . Your big laugh lives on in your boys. Remember family John 16:22 and ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you. Remember you will have joy again just a little different.

After reading all of these thoughtful posts, in honor of the late, great Aaron Mines, I realize that each of us has our own experience. So if you'll permit me, I'll try to describe what Aaron was to me. In Richmond when he attended VCU he was known as Doc. First, Doc was the greatest motorcycle rider to ever throw a leg over a rice burner. On the highway, he was poetry in motion. We never had a bad ride. He also had a heart that was as big as all outdoors. "Call Doc" became a mantra for me and my family. I know it'll get better, but for now, I'm having a hard time living in a world where I can't call Doc.

To the family of Aaron (Bubba) Mines. With my deepest condolences.Bubba and I grew up in the gum tree area of Hanover and we were classmates and friends in elementary and high school. I remembered the days at John M Gandy, were Bubba had a great love for sports, he carried that love of sports to Patrick Henry. Bubba memory will always remain special to me.
