Betty Jean Wright Faina

FAINA, Betty Jean Wright, departed this life on February 24, 2023 surrounded by love and her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, William Sr. and Lucille Wright; her husband, Michael Faina; and her beloved sister-in-law, Rebecca Jenkins. Betty Jean is survived by her brother, William Wright Jr. (Cass); brother-in-law, Anthony Faina (Marguerite); her children, William Faina (Cathryn Mathews), Christopher Faina, Kenneth Faina, Katherine Faina and Sally Carmack Nutsford (Jorge). Betty Jean was an exceptional "Samaw," and she loved and adored her grandchildren, David Faina, Morgan Livingston (Sean), Kennedy Faina (Jayme) and Joshua Carmack (Anna Earnst). She leaves behind a cherished granddog, Basil James. Betty Jean loved her flowers, the Washington Nationals, UVA Basketball, Denny Hamlin, slot machines and the Kansas City Chiefs. She reveled in the Christmas spirit. In her retirement she found a love of travel, going to Las Vegas on her first flight at age 69. She would go on to travel from Italy to Alaska and places in-between. Betty Jean left the world a better place for having been here. The family will receive friends 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, March 5, 2023, at Bliley's, 8510 Staples Mill Road. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1 p.m. Monday, March 6, 2023 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 8200 Woodman Road. Entombment in Westhampton Memorial Park.
