Blanche Doyle Obituary

Blanche Price Doyle, 84, of Richmond, died February 22, 2006. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Col. Daniel Grattan Doyle. Survivors include five children, Winnifred Carroll Doyle of Wormleysburg, Pa., Daniel Grattan Doyle Jr. and his wife, Donna, of Richmond, William Lee Doyle and his wife, Heather, of Charlottesville, Ruth Maureen Doyle and her partner, Linda King, of Baltimore, Md. and Kathleen Price Skelton and her husband, Howard, of Boca Raton, Fla.; 11 grandchildren, Miles and Elisabeth Gibbons, Lucky Hoppe, Tessa Schuman, Atalie Doyle, Rachael and Margaret Via, and Trae, Jacob, Daniel, and Anna Skelton; three great-grandsons, Jacob, Tyler and Luke Hoppe; two sisters, Gladys Forgety and Pearl Deering, both of Tennessee; two brothers, Clyde and Charles Price, both of Tennessee; and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members. She was many things, but most of all, a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She retired from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. Her remains rest at the Huguenot Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. A Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, 2700 Dolfield Dr. Interment will be held 2 p.m. Monday, March 20, 2006, at Arlington National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Richmond Vet Center, 4902 Fitzhugh Ave., Richmond, Va. 23230.

Dear Dan, Lee and Ruth,



I am Jim Sprouse, Lane HS 1965. I am sorry to hear of your mother's death. It has been a long time since I saw you three.....I hope all goes well. I am United Methodist clergy in Northern Virginia. I shall keep you and your family in our prayers.

Take care. Hope to see you all again in Ch'ville one day. My mother is in an assisted living facility there and I travel to see her every two weeks. Hope to see you one day Lee.
