Brian Deane Obituary
He is survived by his partner of 30 years, Barbara Bothwell; his daughter, Kristin Giacco and her husband, Tony; and was beloved granddaddy to Katie and Matthew.
He was a long-serving professor of philosophy at VCU and area community colleges. He was a teacher to all in word and deed. He was a lover of the great outdoors with a deep respect for nature.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, February 25 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1400 Perry St., Richmond, Va. 23224. Interment will follow at Hollywood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Maymont Foundation, maymont.org/support/donate.
