CG was my best friend , then I moved away. I visited him a couple of times and he came down to see me once. It's been more than a year and I did not know until now. I would have come to see him again. We sent each other Christmas cards. This year it was returned and the texts were not answered. I'm very sorry I could not have been near him in the hospital. He use to take care of my BBS (The pirate's cove), when I was on vacation. He knew much about computers and taught me alot. I miss our wine trips to DC. I'll always love you CG!

My condolences to C.G.'s family and friends.
For years, C.G. ran a TradeWars game server, and allowed anyone to access it. My daughter was one of the folks who played on this server. Over time she moved on, and I believe C.G. took the server down eventually.
In 2020, my daughter died. Months later, since I knew she had loved playing on that server, I reached out and asked if C.G. might be willing to put the server back up. I just wanted to poke around and see if my daughter might have left any messages in one of the games. I was touched when C.G. agreed. It was a kind gesture, and I'll never forget.

He was a good guy, curious and learning new things all the time. He had a energy and drive I envied.
