Catherine Proffitt

January 13, 1932 - February 21, 2025

Catherine M. Proffitt, 93, of Richmond, went home to Jesus on February 21, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Ethel Frayser; her husband of 66 years, Ollie Lee Proffitt; daughter, Linda Mason; sister, Liz Keller; and brother, Jimmy Frayser. She is survived by three children, Ronald Proffitt (Donna), Susan Liptak (Terry), Robin Sadak (Dean); nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren; her brother, Clarence Frayser (Kris); and son-in-law, Phillip Mason. She was a member of Skipwith United Methodist Church since 1961. She loved her Lord Jesus, family and friends. Catherine enjoyed life and spent the last few years at Lakeside Health & Rehabilitation enjoying bingo, visits from family and friends.

A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, March 15, at 2 p.m. followed by a reception at Skipwith United Methodist Church, 2211 Skipwith Road, Richmond. Memorial donations may be made to American Diabetes Association or Skipwith Methodist Church, PO Box 32104, Henrico, VA 23294.

My deepest sympathy to Catherine's family. I have known the Proffitt's through our church, starting in the early sixties, and kept in touch with Catherine through visits, cards and her daughter Linda. Her presence will be greatly missed.
