Charles Waldrop Obituary

After a valiant fight with cancer, Charles Lee Waldrop, 50, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 28, 2006. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred Wheatley Waldrop. He is survived by his father, Charles Walter Waldrop (Hoss) and wife, Colleen (New Mamma); sister, Ruth Ann Whitehead and her husband, Bob; brother, Steve Waldrop and wife, Peanut; nephew, William Waldrop; and niece, Elizabeth Ann Waldrop, all of Goochland. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. Charlie was an employee of Pleasants Hardware before he became ill. A graveside service will be held at Perkins Baptist Church on Wednesday, May 31, at 11 a.m. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Cancer Society.

So sorry to hear of Charles death I went to school with you all and we use to play in the yard at the big white house Charles was a specail man the last time I saw him he was going to hear some Bluegrass music. My prayers are with you all.

So sorry to hear that Charles lost his battle with cancer. I thought a lot of Charles and have known him for a long time. I always enjoyed running into him at various places. I considered him a good friend of mine and will miss him. I will always remember the days of him picking music and grabbing the girls to dance. He had a big heart and a warm smile. I will keep his family in my prayers. May God bless you all during this difficult time.
