Marvin Terry Waldrop

Greer, SC – Marvin Terry Waldrop passed away peacefully on March 3, 2026, while enjoying the surroundings of nature, which he treasured deeply. He was the son of the late Marvin Waldrop and Ruby Smith Burkett and the loving husband of 34 years to the late Mary Waldrop.

Raised in Blue Ridge, SC, Terry developed a deep love for the outdoors. He appreciated the quiet sound of wind in the trees, the warmth of the sun, and the comfort of a familiar porch chair. Nature was his happy place; however, he would never pass the opportunity to visit a Cherokee casino. Terry was known to play casino games on his phone, listen to music, and enjoy the simple moments of life after retirement. He worked for many dedicated years as a truck driver with BI-LO and took pride in providing for his family. Terry will be remembered for his quiet spirit, his love of nature, and the steady, simple way he lived his life.

He is survived by his children, Keith Waldrop (Donjoel Ward) of Georgia and Michelle Stephens (David) of the home; grandchildren, Jessica Sutton (Clay) of Ohio and Samuel Stephens of the home; and other loved family and special friends.

In addition to his wife, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Linda Pace, Alphurd Waldrop, and Alvin Waldrop.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
