Charlie Martin Obituary

MARTIN Charlie F. Martin, 92, of King William, died Friday, January 12, 2007. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Terry Martin; his parents, Frank S. and Eleanor P. Martin; two sisters, Ethelyn M. Farmer and Lucy M. Dempsey; and a foster brother, Rufus Kelly. He is survived by a sister, Patty M. Bollinger of Baltimore, Md.; two nieces, Margaret B. Linz and Frances B. McKinley; two nephews, Silvester Bollinger and Welford Dempsey; and many close friends. Mr. Martin was an active member of Sharon Baptist Church and a former member of Colosse Baptist Church. He was a retired employee of York Supply in West Point with 42 years of service. He was also a charter member of J & S Hunt Club and a former member of the West Point Hunt Club. His family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Aylett Chapel of B.W. White Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Sharon Baptist Church, Central Garage. Interment church cemetery.

It is with deepest sympathy that I extend my condolences to Charlie's family. He was such a gentleman and always kind, caring, and polite. He had a way of making everyone feel special. He will be sorely missed. May your family find comfort in knowing how much others thought of him.
