Amy and David,
Thank you for sharing your wonderful mom with all of us.
Her obituary says it all. I would like to add that she was a mom to all.
Oh the memories we all share.
And how many of us taught our own children the Fifty states song? I know I did! Your mom was kind, sweet, and oh so loving. I remember both she and Amy being at my mom´s funeral.
That meant so much and such a sweet memory for a day that is pretty much a blur.
I´m sorry I missed out on paying my respects. Please know my heart was with you both.

Charlotte always had a smile on her face ad spread love to every student and colleague. She and Mr. Webb were a great team and they contributed their time and talents to Stafford County Schools and the greater Fredericksburg community.

Mrs. Webb was my music teacher at Grafton Village Elementary School in the late 1960s. I still remember how much I enjoyed her teaching. I looked forward to her class every week!

Not certain if this is the same Charlotte Bunch that was a very special friend of my mom, Liza White, also from Edenton, but I´m sure either way, she was an awesome and amazing lady who will be missed. May God surround you all with his comfort during this difficult time.

I posted this tribute to Mrs. Webb on my Facebook page to let fellow students know. If you want to see the lovely responses from other students, I'm happy to share those with you. Just let me know if that will help. Love and hugs to you all.
"Mrs. Webb was the best elementary school music teacher. She made music class fun and accessible for all, even the most fidgety kids. She led a hands-on instruments, get up and move music class. A lot of her students became musicians in school and some went on to become professional musicians.
I found out she died this past Sunday and I'm so sorry to hear it. My heart goes out to her family. I hope they will take comfort from their memories with her and the knowledge that she was so kind and nurturing to her students. She was such a dear human. I'm glad I told her (many years ago, now) how much I loved her and treasured her teaching. It was so nice to get to tell her that as an adult and to thank her. She was a true gem of a human.
In reading her obituary, I found out her first name was Charlotte. I only knew her as Mrs. Webb, the best music teacher ever. But knowing that Charlotte became Charlotte Webb when she married was truly fitting as she was a friend to every student and teacher at Grafton Elementary. Charlotte Webb taught her students (she taught thousands of us little spiders) how to be kind and appreciate music in a way that has stayed with us many decades later. I'll continue to remember her and many of the lessons she taught for the rest of my life.
It's been about 40 years since I was in her class but these memories are still quite vibrant.
* She always noticed when someone was having a rough day and she'd be ready with a hug, an uplifting chat or a pat on the head. She'd take a moment to make sure you were ok and to cheer you up.
* My favorite moments were when she would play the Toymakers Workshop (was that what it was called?) We used to beg her to play it again and again. She would tell the story while playing the piano and we would act out the movement of all the toys by dancing around as ballerinas, toy soldiers and other toys.
* I'm pretty sure all of her students can still recite the 50 states in alphabetical order thanks to singing "Nifty 50 United States." Music truly boasts the power of longevity in learning.
* We used to beg for the creepy songs every halloween "Sifting in the Sand" and "There Was an Old Woman all Skin and Bones"
* Chicken Soup With Rice, need I say more (Carol King)
* She taught us a new musical program every year that we performed for our parents. We had to get costumes and remember the songs, our lines and the dance moves. She always made it fun and I still remember a lot of the songs from those sketches.
I'm sending my love to her family and hope they find peace and comfort.
