Cheryl Fielding, 81, of Richmond, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 25, 2025. Born on May 3, 1944, in Salt Lake City, Utah, she was the beloved daughter of Marybeth and Fred Simpson.
Cheryl was a devoted mother raising her four children with love, laughter, and unwavering support. She will be forever remembered for her keen sense of humor, her generous spirit that made her a friend to all who knew her, and her unabashed love for chocolate - which she believed was one of life's essential food groups.
Cheryl is survived by her children: Laurel Fielding, Lindsay Fielding, and Brett Fielding; and resting in peace with her son Scott Fielding.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Cheryl's memory to the Alzheimer's Association, Greater Richmond Chapter, which provides vital support and resources for individuals and families affected by dementia (www.alz.org/grva).
Cheryl's family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who shared in her remarkable life and to those who provided care and comfort during her final days.

Cheryl was a beautiful lady with bright eyes and smile. Caring for Cheryl filled my heart as if she were my own mother. So good to see the dedication of her daughter and the care providers at Admired and Retired and feel honored to have been a part of her life. Sending hugs and prayers to Cheryl´s family.
