Remains rest at Walter J. Manning Funeral Home, 700 N. 25th St., where the family will receive friends Tuesday, June 4, 2024, from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Cedar Street Baptist Church of God, 2301 Cedar St., on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at 11 a.m. Interment Washington Memorial Park.

One memory of Clai was he always said he was Claiborne Christian son on Dabbs House Road.

I worked with Clai in 1994 at AES. He was always so funny and nice. I often thought of Clai throughout the years. I had the pleasure of meeting his wife once. Prayers to the family during this difficult time.

Dr. Christian was my LMHC Supervisor. We have similar faiths so it was encouraging to have so much solid guidance from him tying in our work to the Gospel. I am thankful to trust that he is not only with our Savior, but reunited with his dad in heaven. Praying that peace can comfort his family and friends during this time.
