HUNTER-WILHITE, Claudette, 75, passed away on May 26, 2023. She is survived by her devoted husband Jimmy Wilhite; her siblings, Erskin, Jerl, Jeffrey and Joan; four children, Erica Shavers, Stephanie Wilhite-Johnson (Derrick Johnson), Jimmy Wilhite (Wendy Newton), and Georgiana Hunter-Wilhite; grandchildren, Aaliyah Goode, Nasir Johnson, Corey Harden, Asiah Johnson, Elijah Richardson, Angela Goode, Catherine Carter and Alannah Wilhite; a host of nieces and nephews, other family, beloved church members, friends and associates. A memorial service will be held Friday 11 a.m. at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, 2011 Fairmount Ave. (no viewing).

Claudette was a champion. She is a beautiful soul, beauty inside and out. I was privileged to be a friend for 10+ years. She was a joy to see, she always greeted with a smile and love. I never heard her complain or say a discouraging word, she was a champion. Rest in Power my friend.
