Cody Samuel and Liam Cole Slayton

SLAYTON, Cody Samuel and Liam Cole, were granted their angel wings unexpectedly, on August 9, 2021. Cody, born December 11, 2012, was an extraordinary big brother who loved to help his family and siblings! Those who had the gift of knowing him experienced the warmth and compassion that radiated from his bountiful heart. Liam, born August 17, 2016, had a gentle smile that could melt the hearts of those around him. Though he rarely spoke a word, his voice and thoughts could always be heard. He possessed great strength, perserverance and the ability to overcome incredible odds. Cody and Liam shared a deep, unmatched bond with each other that will continue in Heaven. Cody and Liam are survived by their parents, Hunter and Michal Slayton; sister, Kinsley Slayton; grandparents, Bo and Erin Slayton; honorary grandmother, Thelma Lane; biological mother, Kristen McLain; and grandparents, Marty and Cheryl McLain. Cody and Liam attended Bon Air Elementary School. Liam leaves behind his primary nurse, Carolyn, as well as many caregivers that enhanced his quality of life. With Cody and Liam's passing, we remind other's that their lives are ones to be honored and celebrated; they will be missed dearly everyday and will always remain forever in our hearts. A service will be held for the boys on November 13, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Hyles Baptist church, 7220 Courthouse Rd., Chesterfield, Va. 23832, followed by a Celebration of Life.
