Daisy grew up in Chesterfield, Virginia; Graduated Manchester High & RPI. She was an army wife, moved to Fayetteville, NC; Buffalo, NY; Miami, FL & back. She worked in healthcare for over 40 years. She loved to travel, drove to 48 of our 50 states & cruises to Alaska and Panama. Having reached the North Pole & Equator, plans for the South Pole were next, but missed out on the penguins. She loved photography & music (major Parrot Head who will be hanging out with Jimmy Buffet) & also loved rooting for the Miami Hurricanes & the Buffalo Bills. She was an avid fan of the Richmond Times Dispatch her entire life, always reading obituaries first. Her compassion in life was unparalleled, going to any extreme or sacrifice to help those in her life. She's a wonderful Mommy & Grama. Constant love she gave us strengthens us in this grief. I love you, Mommy.

So sorry to hear of Daisy´s passing. I didn´t know her for long but I loved her daughter, Julie and family, dearly. What I do know is that Daisy had strong convictions for what´s right and wrong and supported me through times of need. She was a wonderful Mother and had a beautiful smile on her face always.

One of my many sweet memories is watching the Triple Crown races while on the phone with her...each of us watching our own tv....her in Richmond me in Clinton, each of us trying to pick a winner and laughing noting the race would be ahead sometimes on her tv sometimes on mine...each of us being careful not name the winner if we knew the results first.
