John Randolph "Randy" Blunt

December 30, 1939 - January 24, 2026

John Randolph "Randy" Blunt, 86, of Midlothian, Va., born on December 30, 1939, in Utica, N.Y., passed away on January 24, 2026.

He was predeceased by his parents John C. and Florence Berger Blunt and a sister, Marjorie Fox. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Peggy Saunders Blunt; son, Ashley Randolph Blunt (Yelena); daughter, Meredith B Fraley (Chuck); grandson, Robert Andrew Fraley (Lauren); granddaughter, Leah Katherine Fraley. He is survived by two sisters, Barbara Leskowitz and Cathleen Van Straten. Randy worked for AMF Companies for 41 years, retiring in 2002. During his career, Randy held the position as Director, Corporate Administration. He enjoyed volunteer work for several local organizations and served on the Boards of the American Cancer Society and The Arts Council. He was an avid tennis enthusiast, as a player, team captain and administrator. He enjoyed the arts, good music, theatre productions, watching basketball with his grandson, and his ROMEO group. He was a member of Manakin Episcopal Church where in the past he served as Treasurer.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Manakin Episcopal Church, 985 Huguenot Trail, Midlothian, VA 23113. If desired, donations may be made in Randy's memory to: Manakin Episcopal Church, Music Program, at the above address, or to Bristol Hospice, Richmond Office, 7400 Beaufont Springs Dr. Suite 105, Richmond, VA 23225.
