Danny Burl Barrett, 77, of Concord, NC passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2024.
Danny was born November 20, 1946 in Richmond, VA to the late Floyd Raymond Barrett and the late Thelma Barrett.
He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Anthony Curry.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Sue Barrett; son, Michael Jason Barrett; daughters, Tonya Byrd and Ernessa Sapper; grandchildren, Sommer, Carson and Lakyn; great-grandson, Aiden; brother, Raymond Baker; and sister, Judy Crisman.
Danny proudly served two tours in Vietnam with the United States Marine Corps and retired from the Virginia Air National Guard after more than 30 years of service. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, as well as a faithful friend to many. Danny will be dearly missed by all those who knew him.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm, Thursday, August 22, 2024 at Hartsell Funeral of Concord, 460 Branchview Dr., Concord, NC. The funeral service will follow on Friday, August 23, 2024 at 10 a.m. at Salisbury National Cemetery in Salisbury, NC with full military honors.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Danny's name to the Disabled Veterans Association.
