David Howard Creasy

September 20, 1952 - November 9, 2024

David H. Creasy, September 20, 1952 - November 9, 2024, passed away peacefully in home hospice after a lengthy battle with dementia. He is survived by his wife of 48-years, Nancy Townsend Creasy, children, David H. Creasy, Jr. (Anne), Dr. Kate Townsend Creasy (Dr. Gregory Corder), and Matthew L. Creasy. He is also survived by his adored granddaughters, Jenna Grace Creasy and Helen Dabney Creasy. Also sister, Janet and brother, Brett. He was predeceased by his father, Alvin B. Creasy, Jr., mother, Elsie Walden Creasy. David was a well-known Richmond area CPA and tax accountant and an engaged community member. He was involved in numerous business organizations serving on the boards of many and acting as president of several. A gifted athlete, he lettered in football, basketball and baseball at Highland Springs High School and won a full scholarship to play football at Wofford College, Spartanburg, SC. He continued his education at VCU earning a Master of Taxation.

In honoring his wishes, no public service will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Arrangements by Cremation Society of Virginia. The family would like to thank Dowda Senior Consultants, Missy Harden, and Suncrest Hospice for their expert care, especially Natalie, Karen and Julie, and most especially, Love, David's daily aide.

David was a very loyal member of Camptown Charities making major contributions in kind and recommendations for financial decisions and contributions to worthy and deserving Hanover County charities. During his tenure in excess of $250,000 was contributed to Hanover County charities. His services and contributions will be missed!
