Fond memories of growing up across the street from the Harris family. Recently on a 2 week trip with several who still live in Richmond was nostalgaic. Talking to some of our old Blackwell classmates
recently, we were looking back to remember all we have lost. Rest in peace, my friends.

Joyce, thanks for being the forever loyal sister. Your love of family radiated during the the service for Joan and David that I was blessed to livestream. As David's neighbor and classmate, I have been recalling many childhood memories. The most life changing was the fact that as teenagers, David convinced my girlfriend Beverly and me to walk the picket lines in Richmond, Virginia and to board the bus to Washington, DC for the MLK March on Washington on August 28, 1963. Prayers continue for you and your support group.

To Joyce and other family members, I extend my condolences on tbe loss of Johan and David. I remember David very well as one of my uncle's best friends. David was a regular at Sunday dinners at our house in the days of my youth. He always had something funny and/or enlightening to schare and possessed a cool personality from my perspective. It has been many, many years since I have seen him, but he left me with many memories and my Uncle Pernell kept me updated on him. Missed but not forgotten. Thoughts and prayers to Joyce and family.
