Dear Pat and family, i was sorry to hear of dave's passing. i remember dave and me riding in his 1950 ford and being the basis for the "fonzi" character on happy days. when i saw dave at the last reunuion it was as if we hadn't seen each other in 2 weeks. it's cool when friends can reconnect after all the years as quickly as we did. i didn't enjoy him beating me in golf, but i'll be fine. i hope you remember and cherish the good times as i will. take care of yourself and your family.

sincerely,

charlie patton

Pat,
I was saddened to hear about Dave's passing. As you know, we went back 56 years and shared many memories from early childhood through high school. I will miss Dave at our reunions but am comforted to know he is still "hitting the balls straight down the fairway". My warmest sympathy goes out to you and your family.

Pat,
David was especially important to me. It was he who suggested to my Grandmother the path I should take at a critical period in my life and my life has continually grown better ever since. I am glad that I had the opportunity to correspond with him before his passing to thank him and to see how he was doing. I am so very sorry for your immeasurable loss and the loss to many around him. I remember his presence seemed to always command a room and he always had a smile on his face.
With Great Respect,
Kenneth Crawford

Pat,
Living in NC I was unaware of Dave's illness. Please know of my thougts and prayers at this time. From our years as Cub Scouts at Lakeside Elementary through high school days with you both at Hermitage, I have been grateful for his and your friendship. Our next high school reunion will have a real void with Dave's absence. My warmest regards to you and your family.

We are relatively new friends of Anne - and Thom - Dillon. We didn't ever get to know Dave, but clearly he was far too vital to the well-being of the world around him, to be lost to us. Everyone, keep him alive in your thoughts.
