TWITTY, Davon L., 31, born August 23, 1991, of Richmond, Va., departed this life but not our hearts on October 21, 2022. He was preceded in death by his loving father, Timothy L. Twitty; grandparents, Delores and John White; and uncle, Raynard Twitty. He leaves to cherish his memory loving parents, Shelia and Kenneth Dudley Sr.; devoted sister, Asia Dudley; beloved siblings, Taquita, Timeshia, LaTisha, Damian, Keenan and Kenneth Dudley Jr. (LaKeshia); grandparents, Shelia Twitty, Joan Dudley, William Reavis (Carolyn), Walter Twitty (Levonie) and Leroy Dudley; aunts, Tonya Stokes (William), Tomika Gordon, Tonsha Reavis (Calan), Tara Reed (Larry) and Shelissa Palmer; uncles, Bernard and Perrell Twitty, Junius, Geroy, Alonzo and Marcus White, Walter Palmer, Rodney and Daryl Dudley; godmother, Karen (Sam) Pettus; beloved family, Solid Baptist Church, The Scotts, Reavis and Moseley's, Diamond and Taymon Reavis, Germaal Richardson, Keron Archer and Rashad Christian; special friend, Shannon Harris; and son in spirit, Cayson; a host of nieces, nephews, great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins, godchildren and devoted friends. Davon attended Richmond Public Schools; after graduation, he enlisted into the United States Army. He was a veteran, a brave soldier who completed tours in Afghanistan, Germany and Kuwait. He earned several awards such as the Afghanistan Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal and Global War on Terrorism Service Medal. He was most currently a student at ECPI University and employed at Performance Food Group. Remains rest at Mimms Funeral Home, 1827 Hull St., where viewing will be held on Sunday, October 30 from 1 to 4 p.m. and Monday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. A Celebration of Life service will be held Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at 12 noon at United Nations International Church, 214 Cowardin Ave., Richmond, Va. Interment Maury Cemetery.
