Desiree and I were pregnant with our first at the same time and that is how we met while attending Bryant. Devontae is a month older than my son. We got to share a lot of good time during our special time at school and outside of school. We learned alot together at a very young age but I gained a friend that that I would never forget. I have thought about Desiree and Devontae alot through out the years and I am glad to know that she was blessed. I will continue to keep her in my thoughts and her family and friends in my prayers.

I will always have fond memories of the conversations that Desiree and I shared about cooking and recipes. She would call me for a recipe or tell me about a dish that she had made. I have a special recipe keeper that she gave me several years ago – it is even more special now. Who was Desiree? She was:
A Cup of Love
A Tablespoon of Laughter
A Dash of Creativity
A Pinch Kindness
Our family will miss Desiree so much but by God's blessings, we will see her every time we look at Devonte, Delaney and LaLa for they are Desiree.

Desiree,
I have typed and erased typed and erased, I will never find the words to say what I feel.
You are truley an angel that will be missed and I am overjoyed with having had the opportunity to have you be a part of my life as well as my daughter.
I remember like it was yesterday our 9th grade years, our trip to Kings Dominion for your Birthday, our laughs....
You had such an amazing spirit that will not be forgotten.
May god be with Courtney your beautiful children and the rest of your family.
We love you but God loves you best.

We have truly lost an angel here on earth, but rest assured that Desiree is now apart of a bigger plan than we could ever imagine. She was a great person that we all cared for and will miss dearly. I was blessed to know her in high school and over the years lost touch but its good to know that she lived a life that was filled with happiness from the ones that she has left behind. Be joyful in knowing that she is in a better place that we will all hopefully make it to one day. She no longer will endure the trials & tribulations that we still do in this so called life.

May God bless you and keep you strong.

DESIREE, I still remember like it was yesterday when we meet back in 8th grade in 1993. There was this amazing, friendly, sincere beautiful girl who I wanted to be friends with and had the pleasure . Your heart was always so big and that is one of the things I so admired about you . My heart is filled with sorrow because a husband has lost his wife and children have lost their mother. My heart is filled with anger because its not fair. My heart is filled with joy because you are HOME WITH YOUR KING. You will be missed, remembered, and loved. My deepest condolences go out to your family.

Desiree had a spirit like no other. Wherever she went, she shined. When she laughed, it encouraged others to do so. This I will always remember. Though I have not talked to her in a very long time, her memory, sweet nature and smile will always remain with me. May she rest in peace always. I send my condolences and love.

Be Still

Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.

Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.

If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.

Oh Desi...where do I start.
I remember when I met you and you were training me at Inova Healthplex. You were patient and caring and always had kind words. Because of your beautiful personality we became friends and I had the priviledge of meeting your family...I want your children and Courtney to know that you LOVED THEM DEEPLY and passionately. We shared many heartfelt stories about our kids and husbands and came to the conclusion that they were ours and we loved them no matter what. I'm so glad I had to opportunity to speak with you a few weeks ago to know that you were at peace. As I always said I love you Desi and I'm so lucky to be one of many that you considered a friend. You and your family will forever be in my prayers.

The memory of Desiree brings joy to so many people that are missing her tremendously. She was an inspiration to me, a loving wife and mother, a sister in Christ, who has gone to be with her Lord.

"The righteous perish and no one ponders it in his heart; devout men are taken away, and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil. Those who walk uprightly enter into peace; they find rest as they lie in death." Isaiah 57:1-2

My greatest sympathy to her husband and three children. She loved you very, very much. I pray that peace that could only be from the Lord will fill your days. My love and prayers are with you.
