Dk was a great man, his kindness and thoughtfulness has been far reaching. Though the last time I saw him was around my brothers death that little act was everything. I would like to do the same for Katy and Patrick. I've known them for as long as I can remember and though years divide old friendships stand. To the "dirty kid" and may this help the family in some way.

Although I only met Donald K. Waybright at his son Deke's funeral, I will miss him. Deke and I were very good friends for much too short of a time. And, from what I knew of Deke, and how he spoke of his father, Donald seemed to be just the kind of man that the world needs to keep forever.

The only people in the Waybright family I know are Patrick and Claire. Even though I don't know all of you, I am very sorry. I am in Claire's gym class and am very sorry for your loss.

I am very sorry to hear of your loss. DK was a very generous man that knew no strangers (especially a red-head:) I think because I have red hair I was met with the opportunity for much advice when I walked into his office. There is one story he told me that I have never forgotten for over 13 years, and I am not sure I ever will. I know he is a spirit that is filled with a love of people, especially children. Warm hugs. I worked for DK in 1974 and he was always so kind to me. We only had one car and I was pregnant so he took me to my doctor appointments.
Just how many bosses would do that?
He had such a sense of humor and even though I have not seen him for over 30 years I remember him as a good man. Blessings on his family.
Sincerely,
Judy Lee

DK was one of a kind. One whom I found to be a close and trusting friend. One who said what he meant and meant what he said. He will be greatly missed by all who came to really know him.

I am so very sorry to hear of your family's loss of D.K. I was the secretary in the same building @ 1100 W. Franklin St the Family Counseling Center before it was torned down. He used to come & talk quite often and I always enjoyed his friendly personality. He always talked about his children and I never knew he had so many. He was truly blessed as a father.
