Earl Ingram Obituary

INGRAM, Earl Thomas, III, 78, of North Chesterfield, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 29, 2020. He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Carolyn; son, Earl T. Ingram IV (Angie); daughter, Beth Kenney (Brian); grandchildren, Emily Drayer (Joe), Alex Smith, Lydia Browning (Treya), Daniel Smith, Megan Ingram, Julia Ingram, Thomas Ingram; four great-grandchildren, Elijah, Jonah, Josephine and Thurston; and several nieces and nephews. Earl was preceded in death by his parents, Fannie Elizabeth and Earl T. Ingram Jr.; and sister, Mary Morris "Betty." In addition to being a faithful partner to his wife, a loving dad and a huggable Pop-Pop; Earl was a retired vehicle shop foreman with the Virginia State Police. He was formerly the Scout Master of Troop 891, an official at South Speedway and also enjoyed sailing and R/C racing. If you were not his friend, it's just because he hadn't met you yet. A celebration of Earl's life will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2021, at Transformation Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Transformation Church, 6000 Iron Bridge Rd., N. Chesterfield, Va. 23234. (https://pushpay.com/g/sbcrvarichmond)

I recall with a great deal of pleasure the many conversations, over the years, with Earl during his time with the State Police. He was a good man and a joy to be around. My condolences to his family.
