I grew up with Ed, at Westhampton Elementary and Jr. High School, as well as Thomas Jefferson High School,in Richmond, Virginia. In the 3rd Grade, His Father passed away, and this was the first time any of us had known anyone to lose a Loved One. We were all really sorry for Him, and We Loved Him in a Special Way after That, for All of Our Lives! He was Always Loving, and Kind, and Friendly! Always! I can't Remember Him any other way! May GOD Bless His Family, Especially, at this Time of Loss, knowing that His Memory holds a Special Place in So Many People's Hearts, as well as Your Own! He is Rejoicing in HEAVEN, and We look forward to Seeing Him Again! AGAPE! SHALOM! Rev. Frank Leslie Bersch, Jr.

Ed was such a kind person who lived by serving as the hands and feet of Jesus everywhere he went especially in the halls of the PCC community. He was a man of integrity and quiet resilience.

Nim, you and your entire family are in our prayers. We are so sorry for your loss. We met Ed at Stonebridge for bridge games. We so enjoyed his light hearted approach to the game and life. We will miss seeing him; but we know he is at peace with no pain anymore. And that is a blessing. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Ed was a wonderful man. I loved playing bridge with him. I miss him every time I sit down to play bridge at Stonebridge where he had so many friends. He had an amazing smile and was always so kind and gracious to everyone. Peace.

I didn´t know Ed but I´m sure we´re related through our Butterworth families. My mother, Nancy Butterworth and my grandparents are buried in the Butterworth family cemetery. I know they will welcome Ed to that huge Butterworth clan in heaven. We´re so sorry for your loss.
