Elsie B. Heiskill

1946 - 2021

HEISKILL, Elsie B., 74, went home to be with the Lord on April 21, 2021. Elsie was the daughter of the late Elsie V. Baughan and Eugene W. Murray. She was born October 11, 1946 in Hanover, Va. She received her education from Richmond Public Schools, graduating from Armstrong High School in 1964 and attended St. Paul's College and Smith-Madden Business College. She married in 1969, and from that union were born Sherry and Walter Jr. Elsie was a member of Fourth Baptist Church, in Richmond, Va., for over 50 years, served on the original Birthday Committee and was a former member of the Senior Choir. Elsie retired from RPS after 28 years of service in the Human Resources Department. Elsie is survived by her daughter, Sherry Y. Heiskill; son, Walter R. Heiskill Jr.; two sisters, a brother-in-law, two nieces, two nephews and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. Professional services entrusted to Walter J. Manning Funeral Home, 700 N. 25th St. A private funeral service, for immediate family members only, will be held on a later date.
