Ethel Mapp Obituary

Departed this life December 25, 2003, Mrs. Ethel L. Mapp of 2019 Rosewood Avenue. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent Mapp Sr.; and mother, Elnora Pack. She is survived by three daughters, Dr. Veronica M. Jenkins, Chantal Mapp-Taylor and Colette Mapp; three sons, Vincent Jr. William and Antonio Mapp; ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Bernice Poindexter and Audrey Pack; one brother, Vernon Pack Sr.; three aunts, Gladys Jackson, Bessie Slaughter, and Savannah Davis; one uncle, William Davis; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; two daughters-in-law, Cathy and Barbara Mapp; one son-in-law, Warren Taylor Jr.; one sister-in-law, Claudette Jenkins; and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Ave. Funeral Tuesday, 11 a.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church, corner of 29th and Marshall Sts., where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Rev. Brian Brown, pastor officiating. Interment Riverview Cemetery. Family, friends and organizations, assemble at the church 10:45 a.m. Tuesday.

I just would like to take the time to thank everyone who has been so kind and compassionate during this hard time. The loss of my grandmother was, and continues to be a shock. The out pour of love and words of encourgement are truly appreciated. My grandmother was and still is truly loved by many people. On behalf of my family thank you.
