Franki Ford Obituary

FORD, Franki (Page), Franki (Page) Ford, of North Chesterfield, Virginia, passed from her earthly life to her eternal home on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, and is now safe and whole in the arms of Jesus, her Savior. The faith she had in Him has now become sight. Because, as a young adult, she had placed her trust in Christ and asked for and accepted His forgiveness for her sins, she is with Him forever.

Frances "Franki" Pope was born on August 10, 1933, in Rock Hill, SC, to Alvin Edward and Pearlie Helms Pope, who predeceased her. She was raised and lived in the Rockingham, NC area, and married Bobby Page in 1951. They moved to Hopewell, Virginia in 1955, and had three loving children. They also lived in Colonial Heights for several years. Later, she moved to Williamsburg, where she eventually met and married Jack William Ford, in 1981. She and Jack moved to North Chesterfield, in 2017, to be near family.

She was a charter member of Faith Baptist Church in Williamsburg, and made countless dear, lifelong friends while there.

Franki is survived by her husband, Jack William Ford, resident of Sitter and Barfoot Veterans' Care Center, Richmond; her three children, Debi Michael and husband, Reggie of North Chesterfield, Patti Allen and husband, Ronnie, of Chesterfield, and Chuck Page and wife, Renee' of Colonial Heights. She was "Mimi" to, and is survived by six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren whom she adored, Lori Spinner and husband, Chris; and Trevor and Brandon Spinner of Colonial Heights; April Degen and husband, Donnie; and Alyssa and Jack Degen of Chester; Erin Fox and husband, Will; and Francine and Laurie Fox of Richmond; Alexis Belvin and husband, Ben of Glen Allen; and Allison Page and Phillip Page of Colonial Heights. Franki also leaves behind two loving sisters, Betty McGroarty of Chesapeake, and Kathleen Flowers of Winston-Salem, NC; as well as three nieces and two nephews.

After spending the past year and a half at Dunlop House Assisted Living, Franki has left behind many heartbroken friends there who will terribly miss her outgoing personality and take-charge encouragement. Her family is so grateful for the staff and her loving friends made while there.

A funeral service, officiated by her pastor, Dr. Ray Haskett, will be held at 12:00 pm, on Monday, July 3, 2023, at Calvary Baptist Church, 17001 Jefferson Davis Hwy (Rt. 1), Colonial Heights, VA. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am, until the service at noon. Burial will be private.

The Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home is serving the family.

I am so very sorry for the loss of Ms. Frankie. She was such an inspiration of cheerfulness and strong faith. As an Activities Assistant for Dunlop House, I was met by her sweet smile almost daily. I enjoyed our visits and conversations about our beliefs. We were secur in the knowledge of our eternal life. Frankie will be missed by many.
