George Feldman Obituary

George Edwin Feldman

George E. Feldman, 95, born in Denora, PA, passed away peacefully at his home in Mechanicsville on March 22, 2025. He graduated from Western High School in Washington, D.C, and went on to attend NC State University. After serving in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War, he earned a Master's Degree in Engineering from Ohio State University. George dedicated most of his career to Reynolds Metals Company in Richmond as a materials management specialist. In 1953, George married Roberta Davenport, and together they raised five children: Nancy, Laura, Paula (Billy Goodman), Richard (Wendy), and Leslie. He is predeceased by his wife and is survived by his children, 11 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren. George was an enthusiastic little league and softball coach and participated in various PTAs and community civic associations. He proudly served on the Hanover County Board of Supervisors, playing a key role in the establishment of Atlee High School and Chickahominy Middle School.

A memorial service celebrating his life will be held on April 19, 2025 at 1 p.m. at the Bennett Funeral Home in Mechanicsville. Memorial contributions may be made to Hanover Habitat for Humanity.
