It is with sadness and a profound sense of loss that I learn of the passing of my former student Wayne Heppert. He was my classmate at VSDB and we graduated together. He played basketball with me winning the 1964 Mason-Dixon Basketball Championship in Mississippi. We had lots of memories at VSDB. I stole his girlfriend, Martha, one evening going to the Prom. Martha was the Prom Queen while me as the Prom King. Now, he is in good hands beyond Earth. If he needs basketball or VP-100, I will be glad to deliver them.
