Geraldine S. Patterson

PATTERSON, Geraldine S., 94, of Henrico, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 4, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband, E.J. "Pat" Patterson; three sons, Roger, Danny, and Charles Patterson; four brothers; four sisters; and two grandchildren, Nikki and E.J. Patterson. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Larry Patterson, Wanda Clarke (Chuck); brother, Donald Smith; grandchildren, Melody (Chris), Bobby, Shawn (Nancy), Michelle (Jeff), Krissy, and Avery; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Megan, Justin, Ryan, Ryland, Sydney, and many more; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Geraldine retired from Philip Morris. She was also very involved in Richmond East Moose Lodge, where she served on the WOTM board for many years. Geraldine was a faithful woman of Salem Baptist Church and she dedicated many hours to serving coffee to the men's group in the morning and helping set up church. She was a servant of God and to her family and friends and opened her home with welcoming arms to many during ill times. The family would like to extend gratitude and thanks to the Autumn Care Nursing Home staff for their kindness, loving care, and friendship so freely given to our beloved Geraldine.

The family will receive friends on Monday, January 15, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va. 23231, where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 12 noon. Interment will follow in Signal Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Salem Baptist Church, 5930 Centralia Rd., Richmond, Va. 23237. A celebration of life will be held at a later time.
