Glenda Gay Jervey

April 3, 1959 - May 23, 2025

Franklin - Glenda Gay Jervey, 66, departed this life on the morning of Friday May 23, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loved ones. She was a lifelong resident of Franklin and a 1977 graduate of Franklin High School and a 1981 graduate of Old Dominion University.

Glenda was a member of High Street United Methodist Church and retired from Wells Fargo Advisors as a Senior Client Associate after 32 years of service. Her love, commitment and devotion to her family, friends, community and God were steadfast. She was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend whose smile and grace warmed all hearts.

Glenda is survived by her husband of 37 years, James Drewry Jervey, her son, James Louis Jervey, her daughter, Jennifer Jervey Mullins (Brandon), her parents, Kenneth Wayne and Iola Davis Gay, her sister, Diane Gay Jervey (Bill). Jim's brothers: Bill (Diane), Doug, Matt, Mike Jervey (Betania) and the nieces and nephews that were so very special to her and knew her as Gigi: Joe Jervey, Jessica Holloman (Hugh), Samantha Albanese (Anthony), Anorrah and Benjamin Jervey, Luke and Joanna Jervey, Elsie and Jace Holloman, Emilia Albanese and her Gracie girl.

A memorial service celebrating Glenda's life will be held Thursday May 29,2025 at 2:00 p.m. at High Street United Methodist Church on Camp Parkway with Rev Wayne Moore officiating. The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m. in the fellowship hall of the church. The burial will be private at the Drewry Family Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to High Street United Methodist Church Endowment Fund, P O Box 218, Franklin, VA 23851.

Glenda's service will be live-streamed on High Street United Methodist Church's Facebook page.
