The Bowden Family,
With deepest sympathy on your loss. I remember Glenn when he was a freshman cadet in "G Squadron". Glenn was was full of life and energy. As a "Rat Daddy", I never knew what he was going to do next. It was a privilege to "turn" him from the rat statis. Glenn will be truly missed.

To the Bowden family,
I am so sorry to hear of your sudden loss. I got to know Glen when his Dad lived at Imperial Plaza and where his mom currently resides. He was such a nice, happy, caring person - so much like his dad Byron- whom we were also very fond of. I will be seeing Julia daily, and in fact just asked how Glen was recently to her. I don't know most of the family, but what I do know,is that he lived for his kids and was a wonderful person. God bless you all in your time of morning. I will make a point to stop by and see Julia real soon.

Bowden family, I am deeply sorry about losing Glenn; your husband, your father, your son...our friend.
Glenn was my "cadet big brother" while at Va Tech. He personally helped me through a very difficult period in school. I will NEVER forget his important and caring intervention. Until right now I've not shared that with anyone.
He and I also played guitar together two or three times per week. Additionally we would duck curfew and sneak over to a local BBQ place called "Mike's" to discuss life over a coke and a sandwich. That was verboten as a freshman cadet! And then there's flying...yes, we flew to Roanoke and Lynchburg on several occasions ostensibly to "check out the transponder". We both knew that was a weak excuse to do something we both loved...flying.
I'll miss him, we all will, but please know that despite the darkness of this moment, he touched many many people in a positive way and will be forever fondly remembered.
Again my condolences, Mark Russell

To all of Glenn’s family, I am very sorry for your loss. I soloed under Glenn as a senior at Virginia Tech and then had the pleasure of being one of his coworkers at the Virginia Department of Aviation. Glenn was the favorite pilot of many Department “private pilots” as he was always laid back and patient when giving check rides in the Department’s single-engine Cessna 206. Glenn was never “above” flying in lowly piston-engine aircraft after having become a turbine aircraft pilot. He was a genuine good guy.

Glenn, I am really going to miss you at Church for Kids Club on Friday nights. You and I had a very special bond, and I knew when you were there, it was going to be a great night, unless you got to the cheese first :) ... I promise I wont put to much cheese on the Pizzas from now on, unless Bill makes me. I love you Brother, and I will miss you so very very much.
