Harry Preston Marker

MARKER, Harry Preston, 94, of Richmond, Virginia, passed away on January 19, 2022. He was preceded in death by his wife of 73 years, Becky Marker; son, Daryl Marker; sisters, Florence Childress, Lucille Collins, Christine Vaughan and Frances Snead; brothers, Henry Marker and Charles Marker. He is survived by his brothers, Tom Marker, Gene Marker, Robert Marker and Matthew Marker; daughter, Linda (Grant) Davis; daughter-in-law, Kellye Marker; grandsons, Michael Marker, Robert Marker, Eric Davis and Adam (Kristin) Davis; and great-granddaughters, Madelyn and Savannah Davis. He was a proud Mason and veteran of the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was the sweetest man who was always taking care of others and we are thankful for our 94 years with him. He loved baseball, dancing, bluegrass music and visiting with family and friends. Special thanks to Gloria Harris and At Home Care for the loving care they provided for years. The family will receive friends at 9 a.m. on January 31, at Woody Funeral Home on Huguenot Road. Masonic service to be held at 10 a.m., followed by a traditional service. Interment will begin at noon in Westhampton Memorial Park.
