George Marker Obituary

George D. Marker, 89, of Melbourne, FL, formally of Wapakoneta, OH, died Sunday December 21, 2025, at The William Child's Hospice House. He was born October 30, 1936, in Lima, OH. The son of Robert and Esther (Casey) Marker, who preceded him in death. He married Bonnie L. Scott June 20, 1964.

Survivors include:
Bonnie Marker, Spouse. Sons: Glen (Erica) Marker of Chicago, IL and John Marker of Melbourne, FL. Grandchildren: Daegan, Raife and Wren Marker. Siblings: Larry Marker, Tom (Andrea) Marker, Meredith Luedeke and Susie Stout.

He was preceded in death by brothers: Robert, Mike, John, Richard, Franklin and Ted. And by sisters Shirley Hern, Joan Gehr, Janice Roth, Joyce Smith and infants Mary Ellen and Marjorie.

George graduated from Blume High School in Wapakoneta, served in the Navy and worked at the U.S Post Office in Wapakoneta until leaving to attend Ohio State University where he earned his bachelors degree in Human Resources.

He worked for several companies until moving to Melbourne, FL, working for Raytheon where he worked as Human Resource Manager and labor relations. He retired living in Melbourne where he lived for 43 years.

There will be no funeral service but you are welcome to come and say goodbye to a good man at Davis-Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory, 560 Montreal Ave., Melbourne, FL 32935. (Downtown Eau Gallie). Wednesday January 14, 2026, from 3 to 6 p.m. in the chapel.

In lieu of flowers donations would be appreciated to: Health First Hospice, 1131 West New Haven Ave., suite 4055, West Melbourne, FL, 32904.
