I feel so thankful that I could spend some time with your father and with you that sad afternoon before he passed away. I was inspired to see the love and courage of your family gathered around his bed.

Dear Brenda,
We are truely sorry for your loss. A parent is never replacable and stands in God's place when we are little to teach us who God is. What a wonderful job your parents did. I did not know him, but I know you. The kindness, love, and willing spirit shows up again and again. The spirit of Christ shines through you and His character is reflected in the way you interact with others. You have been such a blessing to so many. The love and care of your father has helped you choose wisely a man of character. Your fathers goodness lives on in you and your love for others. Continue to live, love and rest in the arms of Jesus. Brenda, you have always been the model daughter. Your Dad loved it when you took him to Hawaii to see the hotel he was in during World War II. He loved going to Branson, MO to see Lawrence Welk. I am here for whatever you need; to talk or to listen.
Your friends,
Eleanor and Wayne Brown

Dear Sprouse Family,
Gosh! The right words always evade you when it comes to losing a loved one. However, although you can never replace your loved one, of some comfort should be the thought that Dad lived a full life, and died in Christ. I can only offer to you Jesus, as a friend and pillow for the times you feel you cannot cope or need a shoulder to cry on. God understands. May he cradle, calm, and guide you through this very difficult time.

Our hearts, thoughts and prayers are with all of the family and we wish we could be with your during this time. We did want to send this little poem that has been such a comfort to us:
I give you this one thought to keep -
I am with you still - I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not think of me as gone -
I am with you still - in each new dawn.
We Love each and every one of you so very, very much and know that all of you will keep Jim's love alive in your hearts.
Cherish each other
