James Willess Obituary

WILLESS, James Albert Jr., 71, of Chesterfield, Va., died February 28, 2007. He is survived by his wife, Sandra N. Willess; three sons, Brian Willess, Justin Willess ,Otis Dowdy III; and daughters, Jennifer Plona and Susan Pilkington. James graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in Industrial Engineering. He served four years in the Army during the Korean Conflict and spent 12 years in the Air Force as a pilot when the Vietnam War was being waged. He flew stunt planes at The Kings Dominion Air Show before going to work for United Airlines, for 21 years. Upon retirement from the airline, James became involved with experimental planes and ultralights. A private memorial service is planned for July 28, 2007.
