Janet Kay Arnold

June 30, 1943 - February 25, 2025

Janet Kay Arnold, 81, died unexpectedly Feb. 25, 2025, at a hospital in Birmingham, AL. Kay was born June 30, 1943, in Washington D.C., the daughter of Dewey and Mildred (Coley) Fields.

Kay was a long-time resident of Richmond and graduated from Goochland High School in 1961. Her older brother William (Buddy) and younger sister Lauren preceded her in death. She is survived by her younger brother D. Thomas (Tommy) Fields.

Her husband David Arnold preceded her in death in 2014. Her oldest son L. Chris Ochoa (Dorsey) resides in Pell City, AL and her youngest son D. Keith Ochoa (Jamie) reside in Knoxville, TN. Together she is survived by 16 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

A service of remembrance will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, June 14 at Jahnke Rd. Babtist Church, 6023 Jahnke Rd.

Those who wish to remember Kay in a special way may make gifts in her memory to Oak Circle Assisted Living, Pell City, AL (205.884.4663).
