Thomas Mills Obituary
Thomas Arnold Mills Jr, 78, of Punta Gorda, Florida died June 16, 2025 after a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Adele Alley Mills and Thomas Arnold Mills and siblings Lucille Crovisier and Phyllis Burton.
He is survived by his wife Christine Mills, daughters Rachael Thieman (Tim), and Amy Tripp (Blair) and granddaughters Berkleley and Savannah Tripp, siblings Vernell Burton and Elsie Katz, and many cousins, nieces and nephews who adored him.
Tom was born in Richmond, Va. in 1947. He graduated from Goochland High School and Hampden Sydney College with a degree in Science and Physics. Never a stranger to hard work, he earned a Class A Unlimited Electrical License in Virginia, North Carolina, and Florida. Professionally, Tom served as vice president and production manager for Dorey Electric in Va., and Pedro Falcon in Florida. His leadership and expertise left a lasting impact on those he worked with and mentored throughout his career.
Tom loved boating, fishing, and diving with his wife Chris, and passed that love to his daughters. He did like to tell corny jokes or quote his favorite humorist, Dave Barry. His laughter was infectious.
Tom was a man of unwavering faith. He loved his Lord and Savior. He also loved his country, friends, and especially, his family.
A private ceremony will be held at a later date.

Had the privilege of working with Tom at Dorey. His leadership was amazing and his workers would have done anything to support him. He'll always be one of my favorite co-workers especially from an HR perspective. God rest.

I went to elementary school and played little league baseball with Tom. Later lived on the same hall my freshman year at HSC with Tom. After graduation I lost touch but remember Tom fondly. He was a great guy.
